We've had some much needed rain showers here in Windsor. Although, in true Vermont fashion, you never know if you will want shorts or long underwear on a given day. Either way, the earth is greening up, the leaves are coming out and we are getting excited for the changing weather. Doesn't the photo above capture it perfectly?
Paradise Park is looking gorgeous, as well, and its been a great time to spot all kinds of wildlife. Just this evening a local spotted a red- necked grebe on the far side of the lake. All of our weekend guests took advantage of Paradise and loved stepping right out into the beautiful Vermont landscape. One particular guest from NYC enjoyed wandering the trails behind the Inn:
I stayed here for two nights, and the Snapdragon Inn was a beautiful, peaceful retreat. The building is steeped in history (it used to belong to famed literary editor Maxwell Perkins), and has been renovated to include all the most modern conveniences - our room even included a Blu-Ray player (with free rentals available). The property also includes access to several miles of hiking trails around Paradise Park. The service is warm, personalized, and wonderful - the team goes out of their way to make every guest feel special and valued. The staff was extremely helpful in providing recommendations and directions, and they were more than willing to take time out of their day to sit and chat with guests. The rooms are clean, beautifully decorated, and include amenities like plush bathrobes and high-end spa products, to add to the overall relaxed atmosphere of the place. If you're looking for a weekend retreat, or a place to celebrate an anniversary, I highly recommend the Snapdragon Inn.We are so grateful for such wonderful reviews and of course "give it up" to our outstanding housekeeping team that keep the Inn looking immaculate.
